About Palolem Beach in Goa
Palolem beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in India. This is the one with a long history in the folklore of Goa. It’s the perfect place to experience water sports like scuba diving, banana rides, and jet skies. Beautiful dolphin viewing trips, too, can be witnessed here. In case you don’t know, the beach is featured in the film The Bourne Supremacy (2004).
The center of the beach, near the main entrance, is quite chaotic as it is often overcrowded, but towards the peripheries, that is to the northern and southern sides, one can easily find places of calm and peace and some very beautiful beach resorts as well.
Palolem beach in South Goa is known for the Monkey Island. It is worth a visit, though the path is a bit rocky but very adventurous, and of course intriguing. And not to forget; a boat ride to see dolphins is a must!

Palolem beach is located around 2.5 kilometres from South Goa and about 40 minutes from Margao.
Best Time to Visit
November to February would be the best time to visit Goa and if you love rains then you must plan your trip between June and October. If you are a night owl, plan a visit to Palolem after midnight or in the wee hours for a boat ride to nearby islands.

There are a wide variety of options to choose from when it comes to accommodation. Around 40 hotels are present in the nearby areas. Also, unsurprisingly, a wide variety of of restaurants and pubs are located in proximity. Fernandes, Magic Italy, Smugglers’ Inn, Spicy Bella, D’Costa Bar & Restaurant are a favorite among locals and travelers.
Shopping
The main road near Palolem is the best place for shopping in south Goa, with a variety of clothing and jewelry stores to choose from. Bargains are quite a norm, so don’t you miss the opportunity!
How to Reach
Palolem beach is approximately 67 kilometres away from Dabolim Airport, and nearest railway station would be Madgaon junction, which is just 30 minutes away. The local area near the beach can be explored on foot.
