Movie Plot:
The plot of Pihu movie revolves around an adorable two-year-old kid who is trapped in an apartment and has to fend for herself with no one to look after her. The plot may remind you of an earlier movie – Trapped, which was released in 2016 and had a similar plot. But, in both movies the protagonists are different. If in Trapped, the protagonist was a young man who was capable of finding a way out, in Pihu it is a helpless toddler, who needs her parents by her side at all times
It is a day after Pihu’s (Myra Vishwakarma) birthday and a rather harrowing one for the kid. There has been some celebration of sorts, there are plates with half-eaten food lying around and balloons still hanging on the walls. But the day after is quiet, rather unusually quiet. With her father missing from the house and mother unconscious, the toddler is left all alone to fend for herself.
Now, if you are a parent, you would know how terrifying it can get if you leave your toddler alone, even for a minute. The kid may touch a live wire, get too curious to know what lies on the other side of the railing and in the same quest, may end up swallowing something dangerous, face grievous injuries or even certain death. The mere thought is enough to send shivers down the spine. So, you can certainly imagine the tense climate in the movie, where a child is left alone for the day; subject to every possibility of hazard. Will the child survive? If yes, how? Watch the movie to find out how the events unfold.
Film Review:
The movie deftly portrays the nightmare that a parent goes through when their child is left all alone. The role of Pihu has been exceptionally performed by the cute and adorable kid Myra. She is the star of the movie and has carried it well. Her every move seems natural and would leave the viewers at the edge of their seats curious to know what happens next. Every heart in the theatre would be beating for the kid and every prayer on the lips would be for her well being, and for a happy ending to this thriller.
Though the movie begins well, and every second the kid spends alone in the house sets our pulses racing, but as the film moves on it becomes a little predictable and flat with some scenes becoming repetitive. Had the director paid a little more attention to the camera angle, the movie would have really come out well.
Our Verdict:
If you love thrillers and want to see how a toddler survives the odds all through the day, then you should watch it. It would be fun to watch the amazing performances of the little kid Myra. You would surely have a wonderful time.
