  • Education

After his 12th grade, he decided not to walk in his dad’s footsteps, becoming a CA. He wished to do anything other than spend time with his father and family. In college, he focused on engineering and was admitted to the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. After completing his engineering degree, he travelled to France and was selected for an exchange program. Ashneer earned a scholarship and financed his studies at his own expense, which is fantastic. After that, he returned to India and completed his MBA at IIM Ahmedabad.

  • Career

Ashneer’s career began in 2006 after earning his MBA in finance and was hired as a vice president at Kotak Investment Banking. He has been there for over seven years. He was involved in several IPO deals. He resigned from his position in 2013.

Ashneer joined the international corporation Amex (American Express) in 2013 as a director. He liked working for a multinational corporation, but he yearned for a difference. So he was there for about two years.

Then he joined Grofers as Chief Financial Officer in March 2017, after leaving Amex in 2015. He departed the company in August 2017.

Ashneer took a vacation from work after leaving Grofers, and he talked with several investors and sought to expand his network. Then he became the business leader of PC Jewellers, and he assisted them with new company development, payment choices, and tactics.

Following that, he met with his founders, and both were graduates of IIT Delhi. He noticed that his pals had developed a superior technology that allows a shopkeeper or a company to be paid using a UPI QR code. Then he decided to join them and launch BharatPe in June 2018. His expertise, skills, and the technology built by his IIT buddies came together to form the renowned online payment gateway BharatPe.

Its success was primarily due to its ease of use for users and merchants. For example, you may receive a free QR Code that allows you to collect all payments from consumers for free. BharatPe was founded a few years ago, but they have already surpassed large firms such as Paytm and PhonePe. Every year, around 1 lakh crore is transferred using BratPe.

They also make loans to small company owners. The goal of BharatPe is admirable as they want to provide possibilities to small merchants so that they can compete with large corporations such as Amazon and Flipkart.
