The wait is over! Finally, the much anticipated Delhi University Cut-off 2018 for Commerce, Arts, and Science was released by the University of Delhi on Monday night. This year the cut-offs have not changed significantly compared to last year. There has been a slight increase of 0.25%-0.75% in some of the courses, while in some other courses the cut-off was unchanged from previous year across 77 affiliated colleges of the prestigious Delhi University.
DU Commerce and Arts Cut Off
Arts and Commerce are the most sought after streams in Delhi University. This year nearly 3 lakh students have applied to the Delhi University, with the majority of students opting for Commerce and Arts as their preferred choice. This year, Lady Shri Ram College has released the highest cut-off in DU in the first list with 98.75% for BA (Programme). Followed closely by 98.5 for Journalism (Hons.) and Economics (Hons.) at DCAC and SRCC respectively. More than one lakh students have opted for BA (Programme) making it one of the most sought-after courses. The cut-off for BA (Programme) at Daulat Ram College increased by 5 percentage from 91% last year to 96%. This year at Hans Raj College, the cut-off for BA (Programme) is 96.25%, while for Economics (Hons.) the cut-off has increased slightly by 0.75% from 97.25% to 98%. SRCC, one of the most prestigious colleges, has not changed the cut-off for B.Com (Hons.) as the cut-off remains at 97.75; however, there is 0.75% point increase in the Economics (Hons.) from 97.75% last year to 98.5% this year. At Hans Raj College, the cut-off for B.com (Hons.) has remained unchanged from the previous year at 97.50.
DU Science Cut Off
The cut-off for Science courses has remained unchanged or had a slight drop from last year, with a dip in the number of students opting for Science. The cut-off for Physics (Hons.) and Chemistry (Hons.) at Daulat Ram College has dipped from 97% last year to 95% this year for both the courses. At Hindu, the cut-off for Chemistry (Hons.) and Physics (Hons.) is at 97% and 98% respectively. On the other hand, Ramjas College saw a significant drop of 6 percentage points in the cut-off for BSc Physical Science. This year the highest cut-off in Science stream was at Hindu for Physics (Hons.) and Computer Science at SGTB Khalsa College.

The sizeable number of crowds at every college in Delhi University makes the admission process haphazard, thus, it necessary to carry all the necessary documents to ensure hassle-free admission process. Here is a list of must carry things:

- Self-Attested Class XIIth Marksheet
- Self-Attested School Leaving Certificate (TC)
- Self-Attested Character Certificate
- Self-Attested Valid ID Proof
- Passport Size Photograph
- Self-Attested Application OMR Sheet
- Parent’s Attested, Aadhar Card
- OBC and SC/ST Certificates (Only required for OBC, SC and ST Students)
- Form-16/ Income Tax Return of Parent (For OBC Students)
- Certificate of Domicile (For Outside Delhi Residents)
- Carry Blue/Black ball point pen
- Carry Water bottle (To keep yourself rehydrated)
For those students who are not able to get into the colleges in the first cut-off, don’t be disappointed, as there is a high chance of the drop in percentage in second cut-off.
