A few Indian Universities have found a place amongst the top universities of the world in the prestigious Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2020 which was released recently. Three universities, including Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, are amongst the top 200 globally. While most of the Indian universities in the QS World University Rankings are government funded, there are a few privately funded ones too. In fact, a total of 23 Indian universities have succeeded in finding a place in the top 1000 universities, as per QS World Rankings. Manipal Academy of Higher Education and O P Jindal Global University are some of the private universities to make it to the top 1000.
