Want to catch all the pulsating excitement and fervour of the Republic Day parade this year? You can watch it ‘live’ on Rajpath if you hurry and grab tickets if they are still available.

The sale of tickets commenced on 7 January and will remain open till 25 January 2020. Tickets can be purchased at counters set up at the following locations:

  • Pragati Maidan Gate No. 1
  • North Block Round About
  • Sena Bhavan Gate No 2
  • Jamnagar House – opposite India Gate
  • Shastri Bhavan – Near Gate No 3
  • Jantar Mantar Main Gate
  • Parliament House Reception Office – Special Counter for Hon’ble MPs
  • Red Fort – Inside August 15 Park and opposite Jain Temple

Ticket Denominations:

Republic Day Parade: Rs 500, Rs 100, and Rs 20

Beating Retreat Ceremony (Full Dress Rehearsal): Rs 50, Rs 20

Note:

  • Rs 500 ticket seats are Reserved. These seats get the best view as they are located close to the main stage.
  • Rs 100 and Rs 20 are unreserved and available on a first-cum-first-serve basis.

Republic Day Parade

All attendees are advised to arrive early to avoid the last-minute rush. Based on your seat location and entry gate, be prepared to walk some distance as no vehicular movement is allowed within a certain radius of Rajpath.

Please do not carry any food items as they attract birds and pose a security risk to flying aircraft.

Beating Retreat Ceremony

The ceremony will take on 29 January at Vijay Chowk in the evening. Attendees are advised to be prepared to walk some distance as vehicle movement in the vicinity is restricted to authorised vehicles only.

All seats for the Beating Retreat ceremony are unreserved and available on a first-cum-first-serve basis. All attendees are advised to arrive early and to be seated well ahead of time.

Ticket Sale Timings:

7 January – 25 January, and 27 January 2020:

  • Forenoon: 1000 hrs – 1230 hrs
  • Afternoon: 1400 hrs – 1630 hrs

28 January 2020:

  • Forenoon: 1000 hrs – 1230 hrs
  • Afternoon: 1400 hrs – 1500 hrs

Note:

  • From 23 to 25 January, one ticket counter at Sena Bhavan will remain open till 1900 hrs.
  • On 23 January, all ticket counters will open only in the afternoon on account of Full Dress Rehearsal that day.
  • On 26 January, all ticket counters will remain shut on account of the Republic Day parade.
  • On January 28, all ticket counters will close by 1500 hrs due to commencement of Beating Retreat (Rehearsal)
