TVS Apache 200 is one of the most eagerly-anticipated bikes of 2016. UM Renegade Cruiser Range
UM Motorcycle, a maker of two wheelers from the US, is looking to introduce a couple of cruisers in India as part of its Renegade range, which enjoys a fair degree of popularity. The organization is well known for providing beginner-level sportbikes and cruisers that are easy on the pocket. It is teaming up with Lohia Auto as part of a crucial joint venture, where both the companies will have equal share. TVS-BMW G310R
G310R is the first ever bike being built as part of the joint venture between TVS and BMW. It can be described as a naked sportbike and BMS Motorrad has developed this bike in Munich in association with TVS. TVS will be developing this bike at its Bengaluru facility for the Indian market. The engine for the bike is an all new one, liquid cooled, and comes with a single cylinder. It is expected to be priced at INR 2 lakhs. The engine is 313 CC and can produce maximum power of 33.6 BHP @ 9500 rpm, while reaching a maximum of 10,500 rpm. The maximum torque for this bike is 28 NM @ 7500 rpm and the gearbox is synchromesh 6-speed transmission, which is integrated in the motor housing. The seat height is 785 mm and its wet weight is 158.5 kilos. The fuel tank capacity is 11 litres and it can get to a top speed of 145 km. The certified mileage of this car is 30.3 km per litre.
Hero HX250R
Hero HX250R is a quarter litre sportsbike, which happens to be fully-faired as well. It has a 249 CC engine that comes with a single cylinder. The gearbox can produce a constant mesh of 6 speeds and the bike itself can produce a maximum power of 31 BHP @ 9000 rpm. It can also reach top torques of 26 NM. Hero has developed this bike in association with Erik Buell Racing. Hero claims that the bike can reach speeds of 100 km within 0-8 seconds and can get to top speeds of 150-160 km. It is expected to be priced between INR 1.3-1.5 lakh and has ground clearance of 145 mm. Its wet weight is 139 kilos and its fuel tank capacity is 12.90 litres.
Benelli Tornado 302
Benelli is a known name in India thanks to the TNT 300. Its price is supposed to be more than INR 3 lakh – in the region of INR 3.2 lakh – and it has a 300 CC engine with a couple of cylinders. It is expected to be a major competitor of KTM RC390, Yamaha R3, and Kawasaki Ninja 300. The engine can produce top torque of 26.5-27 NM @ 9000 rpm and maximum power of 36-38 BHP @ 12,000 rpm. The seat height is 790 mm and its ground clearance is 180 mm. Its wet weight is 180 kilos and fuel tank capacity is 14 litres. It can get to top speeds of 170 km.
