8. Anil Ambani
Anil Dhirubhai Ambani is the brother of Mukesh Ambani and a famous Indian businessman. He is the Chairman of Reliance ADA Group, which was formed after demerger in 2006 from Reliance Industries Limited. Currently, he exercises control over various corporations of this group including Reliance Capital, Reliance Power, Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance Communications. His business interest also lies in defence manufacturing, entertainment industry, film production, multiplexes and animation studios. In 2006, he was named the sixth richest person in the world, but by 2019, Ambani’s net worth has dwindled to US$1.7 billion. He was among the nine Indians to be chosen by PM Modi for Swachh Bharat campaign. Additionally, the Mumbai Metro under Reliance Infrastructure became functional creating a global record with 30 million commuters in mere 100 days.
9. Anurag Kashyap
He is a noted Indian director, producer, writer and editor. Anurag Kashyap is not only praised in India, but he was also honoured by the Government of France with Ordre des Arts et des Lettres Award for his contribution in films. Recently, Kashyap co-directed first Netflix original series named as Sacred Games which became a big hit. This hard hitting web series was based on Vikram Chandra’s novel of the same name. Another movie in the romantic drama genre Manmarziyaan, was released internationally as Husband Material. Additionally, Anurag Kashyap serves as the Member on the board of the NGO named as Aangan in Mumbai. The aim of this NGO is to help and protect vulnerable children all across India.
