The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad or Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education (UPMSP) has declared the class 10th or UP Board Higher Secondary result today. The exams were conducted from March 3 to March 21.
UP Board 10th Results 2014 facts
- Number of students appeared for examination – 30.48 lakh
- Number of students who cleared the exam – approximately 28.10 lakh
- Overall pass percentage in 2014 – 92.21%
- Girls’ pass percentage – 95.31%
- Boys’ pass percentage – 89.81%
The examination was conducted in two shifts at 10,500 centers across the state. The timing for the first shift was from 7:30 am to 10:45 pm whereas for the second shift it was from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. This year, girls performed much better than boys.
The total pass percentage this year is 92.21% but there is a drop of 0.47% as compared to last year.

The Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education prescribes syllabus from Class 1 to Class X and conducts board examination for class VII, class X and Class XII. The UP Board’s head office is at Allahabad, where it was set in 1923. Apart from this the Board performs its duty from its regional offices at Meerut, Varanasi and Bareily. Before UPMSP, the University of Allahabad was the examining body to conduct board exams.
