Who doesn’t remember the famous monologue from Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2? The actor who shot the whole five-page-long monologue that went on for a good seven minutes in one take was Kartik Aaryan.

Also popular as Kukkoo and King of the Masses, this actor has been part of several successful films at the Box Office. He enjoys a massive fan following and has 25.5 million followers on Instagram. After being in the industry for over a decade and appearing in a successful franchise like Pyaar ka Punchnama, Kartik has become a prominent Bollywood actor of this age.

His recently released film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has become the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2022. Till now, the film has made ₹250 crore globally at the box office. Kartik’s role of ‘Ruhan Randhawa’ aka ‘Rooh Baba’ also became popular, and his performance was appreciated.

Personal Life and Family

Kartik Tiwari who changed his last name to ‘Aaryan’ in 2013 was born on November 22, 1990, in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior. He is the only actor born into a family of doctors. His father, Dr Manish Tiwari, is a paediatrician, while his mother, Dr Mala Tiwari is a gynaecologist. His younger sister Kritika Tiwari is also a doctor.

He completed his early education in Gwalior and moved to Mumbai to pursue an engineering degree in biotechnology from D Y Patil College of Engineering in Navi Mumbai. He has also done an acting course from Kreating Charakters Institute after facing rejections in several auditions. Before making his Bollywood debut, he also modelled.

Entry In Bollywood

After modelling, Kartik made his Bollywood debut with Luv Ranjan’s directorial debut ‘Pyaar ka Punchnama’. While his long monologue shot in one take got immense appreciation from the audience, he did not get his due recognition.

After this, he appeared in films like ‘Akaash Vani’ and ‘Kaanchi: The Unbreakable’. In 2015, he appeared in ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’. Next year he appeared in a short film titled ‘Silvat’. The following year he did ‘Guest iin London’.

The Big Break

The actor got his big break in 2018s, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, which did well at the Box Office and became a blockbuster. The following year Kartik gave another hit movie ‘Luka Chuppi’ with his co-star Kriti Sanon. His next releases were ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’. While the former did well at the Box Office, the latter failed.

He next starred in Ram Madhvani’s thriller titled Dhamaka. The film was shot in ten days, and Kartik’s performance was appreciated by the audience and the critics. He was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, a sequel to the 2007 movie with the same title. The film became a super hit at the Box Office.
