Plot: “Luka Chuppi” is the story of a Mathura TV reporter who falls in love with a modern, strong-willed and educated girl. The girl wants to try a live-in relationship just to be sure about their future together. The film takes an interesting turn when their respective families get to know about their dubious scheme.

Movie Review: “Luka Chuppi” is a hung-up comic film. Kartik Aryan has done his part and played the usual character that he has been playing always. His witty and comic self even fails to save this one. Over the years Kriti Sanon has come a long way since “Heropanti”. Her last movie was a major comic hit “Bareilly Ki Barfi”, but this time we have been disappointed. The only silver lining this movie has is Pankaj Tripathi. His comic timing and his small-town pervert character is the only good thing about this movie. He is ever charming and flippy craft keeps the story together and bearable.

The first half of the movie is entertaining and full of laughter but in the second half, you will need some convincing to go through. The story completely loses the track in the second half and makes absolutely no sense. It tries to unsuccessfully touch some social topics such as racism and religion. But there is not much story to back these issues. The story has a good decent start to it but halfway through the script it seems like the writer had not much to finish with. Talents like Vinay Tripathi and other few have not been put to good use. The unoriginal music track has miserably failed. The entire soundtrack has been copied in a bad taste from massive Punjabi hit songs.

Our Verdict: If you have nothing to do over the weekend and just want to see the national crush Kartik Aryan doing his usual self, then you may go and watch this one. The first half has some good jokes but over a period the storyline gets lost and doesn’t have much to offer.
