Analysis

Selfiee movie is the remake of the South Indian film Driving License. The original movie had a realistic plot and an emotional connection, whereas Selfiee is more exaggerated. The movie touches on various aspects of society, stretching from the media to political aspects, and how media exaggerates an issue just to make it vast. The misunderstanding also occurs due to the media involvement when Akshay Kumar reaches the RTO office one morning and gets traced by the media. The movie shows how Akshay Kumar is working on different movies, shows and also for OTT platforms. Later, Emraan Hashmi (Om Prakash) decides to show the power of a common man by restricting him from driving and asking him to give all the tests.

It also shows RTO rules and driving-related things from different angles. There is also a third character in the movie Abhimanyu Singh who also wants to become an actor and is a friend of Vijay. However, he fails to do so and now, out of jealousy, uses the issue against Vijay.
