It’s been said that a good film is such that inspires emotions in you, whether they are laughter, happiness or a lingering sadness. And Sanju does it all for you. The film brilliantly captures the life of our Sanju Baba, i.e. Sanjay Dutt. Shedding lights on various phases of his life, from his early days to his present- ranging from his drug-addiction to his whirlwind romantic life to his jail term concerning the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. This Raju Hirani gem doesn’t leave the audience unsatisfied.
Plus, the movie also focuses on Dutt’s relationship with his parents Nargis (played by Manisha Koirala) and Sunil Dutt (played by Paresh Rawal).
The best thing about Sanju is its honest narration. While you laugh boisterously, the film will also make you shed a tear or two. This heart-touching tale is manifested so well on screen and the credit goes undeniably to the outstanding performance of Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir simply shines in this film and totally deserves to win an award for this one. You will also like the classy presence of Anushka Sharma through her portrayal of the London-based choreographer.
It’s definitely a treat for weekends. Your main reasons to go? Well, for one you have Sanju’s life story told in an exceptional way and then, second, you’ve got Ranbir showcasing his polished acting skills. Within a few minutes of watching, you’ll be hooked to the movie till the end. A must-watch in our opinion.
