The famous badminton player hasn’t stopped making history ever since she first came to limelight in 2012, at the young age of 17. This year has been no exception.
In the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Sindhu won a Gold in the mixed category and a silver in the women’s singles. In Asian Games, the star player, winning a silver medal in the singles, became the first Indian to stand second on the podium. Aptly timed as an “end of the year present”, on December 16th, 2018, she won the BWFWorld Tour Finals, becoming the first Indian to do so.
