Ulsoor Lake, Bangalore

The origin of the lake dates back to the 2nd century when the lake was called “Halsur” or “Alasur”. Constructed by the then ruler of Bangalore, Kempe Gowda II, Ulsoor Lake spreads over 1.5 km in area and is dotted with a number of islands.
