A perfect Indian architecture with a three-spired structure, Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Mumbai is counted among the popular temples of the city. It is made of pink stones with intricate carving. The temple and the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha works on the principles of Bhagwan Swaminarayan.

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir strives to nurture spiritual and intellectual values and work towards overall development of individuals through academic and wellness programmes. There is a six-floor building next to the temple where all spiritual activities take place.

In the temple, one would find colorfully adorned murtis of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, Aksharbrahman Gunatitanand Swami and Shri Gopalanand Swami to whom the temple is mainly dedicated. Besides these, murtis of Shri Harikrishna Maharaj, Shri Radha-Krishna Dev and Shri Ghanshyam Maharaj are also present.

Aarti Timings: Routine aartis and prayers are offered. Timings are as mentioned below:

  • Mangal Arti: 6:00 am
  • Shangar Arti: 7:30 am
  • Rajbhog Arti: 11:15 am
  • Sandhya Arti: 7:00 pm
  • Shayan Arti: 8:15 pm

Also, a special sabha (assembly) and satsang are held from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, respectively.
