About Movie Wajah Tum Ho

The movie was scheduled to be released on December 2, 2016, but has been postponed until December 16. The reasons behind the delay are unknown but speculation is the producers didn’t want a clash with Kahani 2, a Sujoy Ghosh’s film that released today.

After Hate Story 3, Director Vishal Pandya is back with an erotic crime thriller which is about witnessing a ‘live’ murder on TV. According to Vishal, he got the idea from channels he would flip on TV. The fact that the viewers are forced to see what the channels throw up, drove him to come up with this idea of a murder caught ‘live’ on TV. He went to work on the story with Samir Arora and Wajah Tum Ho was born.

The movie is a crime thriller about a hacker who hacks into a television network and beams murder ‘live’. The movie highlights the risks on online hacking that can affect any one.

Actress, model and reality television star Sana Khan gets to play Siya, a lawyer in the film along with Gurmeet Chaudhary. Sana Khan, as most would remember, became a known name after her stint in Big Boss Season 6 where she won a lot of hearts. Well, she has now grown up enough to play the lead in Wajah Tum Ho and has delivered some rather steamy scenes with Gurmeet Chaudhary that has already made news and driven up fan curiosity.

3 Idiots star, Sharman Joshi is playing a cop for the first time, which will be interesting as he has carried the sweet-guy-next-door tag for long now. Whether his fans accept him in this new avatar remains to be seen.

On the set gossip has it that Sana Khan was overstressed with her role in certain scenes and had even fainted on the sets. But even she has been surprised by her final look in the film, which, in her own words, was “difficult to believe that was me”.

TV Star Gurmeet Chaudhary plays the character of Ranvir Bajaj and has a lot riding on this film. He made his movie debut with Khamoshiyan and is now banking on making an impact on his fans with his role in Wajah Tum Ho.

Rajniesh Duggall plays Rahul, the owner of the television network and a suspect in the murders.

Wajah Tum Ho Music

The music in the film is produced by T-Series and one cant help but wonder why they chose to experiment with four songs in the film that are takes on earlier popular songs.

Though the title song picks its name from an earlier hit, the song itself is new but sung in three versions in the film. The title song is sung by Mithoon, Altamash Faridi and Tulsi Kumar. The song is a soft romantic ballad and will appeal to all those who love soft melodious compositions. The other two versions are sung by Mithoon and Altamash Faridi.

Pal Pal Di ke Paas is another yesteryear hit from the film Blackmail (1973) and is sung in two versions. Old timers will like the revisit. The song Mahi Ve has Zareen Khan doing a retake by stepping into Malika Arora Khan’s shoes (Kaante), who left her strong impression in the original song. Introducing retakes seems to be appealing to Bollywood and music fans, too, seem to be loving it. It would have been nice to have more original compositions, though.
