Goa: The Hottest Tourist Destination in December

Long stretches of glistening silver sand dampened by the ebb and flow of the Arabian sea; mild breezes caressing the face; lustrous evenings at the night bazaars; fun and gaiety over-whelming every soul, lyrically grooving bodies of the high-spirited music lovers; zonking innumerable shots of the local feni, enjoying, singing, relaxing, drifting into another world- This is Goa in the month of December!

Goa has always been the most favorite tourist destination of India. When you say fun, you say Goa! Though this city is crowded with large flocks of tourists throughout the year, December is the ultimate season of Goa. December is the month of joy and high-spirits and Goa celebrates this month with electrifying fun and leisure. Every year in the month of December, a number of dance-music festivals are held in Goa beckoning lakhs of tourists from all around the world. The most important and widely noted festival among them is the Sunburn Festival.

The hard-core party lovers get ecstatically thrilled when someone mentions about the Sunburn Festival of Goa. For the less engaged ones, Sunburn is a high-pitched dance-music festival exclusively held in Goa in the month of December. Held over three days, it witnesses the presence of a good number of international artists that come together to burn the stages with their up-beat music. Sunburn has been reckoned as the ninth best festival in the world.

This year, the organizers of this festival have moved out of the box to take Sunburn to a different pedestal. A number of adventure sports activities have been pitched in to make this festival a thousand times more exciting. A large open-air cinema theatre, alibrary, a flea market and an exclusive foam party are some of the additions this year. The festival will see 120 international artists performing together on seven grand stages. This year, the Sunburn Festival will be more crazier and livelier than ever!

December is the month of merry making with Christmas and New year just round the corner. While the entire country comes alive to celebrate and rejoice the festive season, Goa excels as the state with the maximum celebration. If you want to celebrate Christmas and New Year in its true spirit, head to Goa! Grand scale celebrations are held in every part and the entire state glows with lights and crackers. On the new year’s night, a scare-crow type effigy of an old man is burnt as a symbol of the past so that the new year can be welcomed with open arms.

Such is the glory of Goa in December! So if you want to make this Christmas the most cherished one and usher in to the new year with utmost delight, Goa is the heaven you desire for!
