Question: Draw a diagram of the mature embryo sac of an angiosperumic Ovule and label any four parts in it.

The correct answer is –
A mature embryo sac is a seven-celled structure with eight haploid nuclei. The cells in the embryo sac are differentiated into three distinct cell types:
  1. Egg cell: This is located at one end of the embryo sac and is the female gamete that fuses with the male gamete during fertilization to form the zygote.
  2. Synergids: These are two small cells located next to the egg cell and play a role in guiding the pollen tube to the egg cell.
  3. Antipodal cells: These are three cells located at the opposite end of the embryo sac from the egg cell and have an unknown function.
  4. Central cell: This is the largest cell in the embryo sac and contains two polar nuclei, which fuse to form a diploid nucleus called the secondary nucleus.
I hope this helps!
