People in India love their mangoes, this love shows when you see them in the market’s, choosing the ripe mangoes for their families. Some even love to get special varieties couriered to them and the train stations and even airports start to sport packed mango boxes. Well why not! this king of fruits has an awesome taste and is only available certain months of the year, so everybody wants to make full use of it. Although the most common way to eat mangoes is just cut and eat, it can be used in certain nice ways as well enhancing the appeal of your dining table. Just in line with this I made mango salad today and served it over a platter of lettuce leaves. As you can see the great appeal and appetizing capabilities of this salad are just on the top. It tastes great with food and gives a sweet taste to the meals without the use of sugar. Its also very quick and easy to make the salad, so go ahead and use this Mango Salad Recipe.
Ingredients (serves 4)
Mango – 2 (refrigerated)
Onion – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Tomato – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Fresh dhania – 2 tbsp (chopped)
Green chili – 1 (chopped)
Salt – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Lettuce leaves – 3 to 4
How to make Mango Salad
Preparation time: 10 min.
Making time: 5 min.
Peel and cut the mangoes in small slices (I generally leave out the pulp near to the seed for even taste).
Mix mango slices with onion, tomato, fresh dhania and green chili.
Add salt, lemon juice and mix well.
Place the lettuce leaves over a serving plate and decorate the salad over the leaves.
