Spread across 20 acres, the Garden of Five Senses in New Delhi was inaugurated in February 2003 as a leisure space to relax and rejuvenate. It has been developed by Delhi Tourism Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC).

An alluring escape from the chaos of the city, the splendid lush greens of the garden and the majestic rocks around are well maintained. The garden is sectioned into different areas.

The key attractions of the Garden of Five senses are:

  • Khas Bagh (the spiral walkway)
  • Gorgeous shrubs of flowers planted beautifully around the Colour Gardens
  • Well-lit fountains
  • Water cascades
  • Food court with terraced seating arrangements
  • Shopping court
  • A unique, modern sculpture in stainless steel
  • Bell tree
  • Stone crafted elephant troop
  • Neel Bagh – A water pool with lilies
  • Courts of Specimen Plants where unique species of plants are displayed
  • Amphitheatre – With seating area made of sandstone
  • Unique sculptures and murals set up around the garden accounts for one of the largest collection of public art in the country.

The garden is an epitome of beauty and it will not be wrong to say that it has all the shades that God has bestowed on Mother Nature. Special cultural programmes are organised here round the year including dandiya nights, food festivals and a Garden Tourism Festival that is held in February.
