Colleges in Nagpur

Nagpur colleges have undergone a vast change in the last few decades. Starting with only four main fields, now they offer over 10 fields for pursuing higher education. Most of the colleges in Nagpur are affiliated to the University of Nagpur. In its earlier days, the university had only six colleges listed under it but today this number has gone to over 275.

The main development in the colleges at Nagpur came with the construction of the university building for which money was donated by the great steel icon Sri Jamshedji Tata. This was followed by a full fledged development in the educational system of Nagpur.
