The only law college in Nagpur city is Dr. Ambedkar College at Deeksha Bhoomi. Founded in the year 1964 by Late Padmashri Dadasaheb Gaikwad at the holy place where Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar adopted Buddhism, this law college at Nagpur actually started the law department in the year 1982 and since then has traveled a long distance.
Dr. Ambedkar College at Nagpur is accredited to the Nagpur Univeristy. It holds the distinction of being the only law college in Vidarbha to be approved an A+ level by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore.
Though the Nagpur law college offers courses in various streams but its law department is very renowned because of the quality of teaching and training offered by the faculty which is selected after rigorous interview sessions conducted by some of the highly qualified lawyers and judges.
