DINING GUIDES
New Delhi city is known for its mouth-watering, delectable food. Delhi's dining scene is versatile. If you want to try something different, stop in at one of the open-air roadside restaurants, called dhabas. Restaurants are generally open daily 12:30 to 3 for lunch and 7:30 to 11 for dinner. Dry days (on which you cannot buy alcohol) are strictly observed on the first and seventh day of each month and on national holidays. A 20% tax is levied on your food and beverage bill. Imported liquor is extremely expensive; inquire before you imbibe. There is a restaurant for every pocket. A meal can cost anything from Rs.200 to over Rs.1000.
