Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Girinagar

Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Girinagar is one of the most well known schools in the important city of Kochi in Kerala. The Bhavan's Vidya Mandir of Kochi covers all the secondary and higher secondary school grades starting from I to XII. The principal of this school is N. Vijayalakshmi and the vice-principal is Joyce Mathew.

The Bhavan's Vidya Mandir at Kochi was established in the year 1977. This school of Kerala was started on massive scale. It was put up on an extended piece of land spanning for 1.7 acres of land. The school was initiated with the charitable intentions of the Cochin Shipyard, who gave away this piece of land for the betterment of education in the industrially advanced city of Kochi.

The Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Girinagar has got affiliation of the Central Board of Secondary Education of Delhi, which is called CBSC in short. The Bhavan's Vidya Mandir in Kochi is an integral part of an Indian group of educational centers. The name of this renowned educational group is the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

To cater to the curricular and extra-curricular needs of the increasing number of students, the school has increased the strength of the educational and non-educational staff, which is currently more than 70 in number. The present number of students in the school is more than 1519.

Therefore, from its first day, the school has gradually come a long way in terms of both the quality of education that it imparts and the strength of students that it currently has.
