Reaching Gwalior does not pose a big problem as this city of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh is well connected to many other important places of the country. This city is equipped with all the three major means of transportation, that is, railways, airways and roadways.

Traveling to Gwalior is facilitated to a great extent by the railways of the city. Gwalior has a railway station of its own, from where one can avail convenient and safe trains for reaching Gwalior. Gwalior is well connected by trains with other major parts of the country like Agra and Delhi. The Shatabdi Express and the Taj are two of the most popular trains that help to communicate from Agra and Delhi to Gwalior.

The city has an airport of its own, which has almost all the facilities that one may expect in a good Indian airport. This airport is situated at a distance of about 8 kms from the main city. One can easily travel to Gwalior from a number of other significant places of India by air. Gwalior has a good road network, which help to make a trip to Gwalior from the other important parts of Madhya Pradesh and the neighboring regions. Some important road distances for Gwalior are: Jhansi - 101 kms, Agra - 118 kms, Delhi - 321 kms, Khajuraho - 275 kms and Indore - 486 kms.
