Present Reliance Power Projects

Present Reliance Power Projects involve projects which concentrate on the construction of power generation plants in different part of the country. These plants are expected to provide the necessary impetus to the increase in power generation capacity of the country thereby registering a significant growth in its economy.

Present Reliance Power Projects entail the three prestigious projects of the Krishnapatnam Power Projects, the Sasan and Mundra Power Projects and the 3500 MW Power Plant, Dadri in UP. The power projects are an index of the contribution that the Reliance Group and its subsidiary Reliance Energy Limited has made to the domain of production of power, its transmission and distribution.

Reliance Power Projects in the Making

The Reliance Power Projects are designed to generate optimum power supply by utilizing eco friendly resources. This was the aim behind the setting up of the 3500 MW Power Plant, Dadri in UP. The power at this plant was to be generated with the supply of natural gas from the Dhirubhai Gas Fields. The project was to be constructed at a huge scale and was conceived to be the biggest gas power plant in the country.

The development of the Sasan and Mundra power project targets the generation of about 70,000 MW of power. While the Sasan power project is an initiative of the Reliance group, the Mundra Ultar Mega Project is a venture of the Tata group.

The Krishnapatnam Power Project is a 4000MW capacity undertaking set in the Nellore District. The plant is supposed to work on imported coal and thereby generate additional power for the region.
