Institute of Business Administration and Training of Bhubaneswar (IBAT) is one of the premier business schools of Orissa. It is autonomous but affiliated to the KIIT (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology). Accredited by the AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education), Institute of Business Administration and Training of Bhubaneswar is soon set to gain the status of a Deemed University.

Eligibility criterion for the MBA course is a bachelors' degree in any discipline. Admissions involve a 3-stage process. Those shortlisted on the basis of their CAT scores are called for a group discussion and a personal interview. Those wishing to pursue an Executive MBA should have 2 years of experience in the corporate world.

 

The Institute of Business Administration and Training of Bhubaneswar boasts of 30 brilliant professors educated at the IITs, IIMs and other reputed business schools. Students from all over India and other Asian and African countries come here to enroll for the programmes.

 

Hostel accommodation for 500 people is available, including separate arrangements for women. There are 24 hour Internet facilities. The institute boasts of an excellent library.

 

A clinic exists within campus premises with 2 doctors always available. For emergencies, 2 ambulances are also available.

 

The course fee for the MBA programme is 3.10 lakhs, payable in 2 installments. The first one is payable at the time of admission itself. Besides, the institute has tied up with IBM to provide candidates with laptops. Half the cost will be shared by the institute itself.
