Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) is one of the trump institutes among all the private engineering institutes in eastern India. Institute of Technical Education and Research was established in 1996 and since then is maintained by a charitable educational society named "Sikshya 'O' Anusandhan".

 

Institute of Technical Education and Research is approved and accredited by AICTE, New Delhi, Ministry of Human Resources Development and Government of India, New Delhi. It has also gained the accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation for the following four courses:

•  Electrical Engineering
•  Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
•  Mechanical Engineering

 

Institute of Technical Education and Research is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela. It has also got an ISO 9001:2000 certification from United Registrars of System Limited (URS), UKAS, United Kingdom for the quality of its education and management system.

 

The main aim of the Institute of Technical Education and Research is to promote learning among students and faculty, create new knowledge base by continuous research work and to produce thorough professionalism in management both in corporate and non-corporate sector who can beat the challenge in their respective professions.
