Parija Library in Utkal University



Parija Library in Utkal University was set up in 1946 at Vani Vihar in Bhubaneswar and was named so in the memory of the first vice-chancellor and a great scientist Late Dr. Prankrishna Parija.

A library committee has been formed for the maintenance of the Parija Library in Utkal University. The committee frames the rules and regulations of the library after approval from University authorities.

Parija Library in Utkal University is open on all working days from 9 am to 9 pm except on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays when it is open from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm only. Books are issued on all working days from 10.30am to 4pm. Every Post Graduate Department of Utkal University has a separate departmental library.

Parija Library in Utkal University is used not only by the students but also by the teachers, employees and research scholars. Parija Library in Utkal University at Vani Vihar has its own building within the campus.

The library offers its readers facilities such as lending books, photocopies of non-lendable items from National Libraries or other libraries on loan basis.
