One of the places of interest in Dalhousie, the
Dakshina Murti was founded by an eminent spiritual teacher – Dr. R. P. Kaushik. The philosopher from Sonepat started a yoga institution and named it Dakshina Murti. Founded during the 1970's, the main objective was to spread the practice of Yoga and teach spiritualism through it.
Situated at a distance of 200 meters from Subhash Chowk, the Dakshina Murti is located at Gram Sarak near the Mall. Dr. R. P. Kaushik passed away in 1987 but his followers have continued the good work by organizing regular Yoga classes and seminars at Dakshina Murti.
