Diu Island attractions range from historical forts to sandy beaches. The variegated tourist sites of Diu Island attract a large number of tourists from the different parts of the world.

Diu Island is a part of Daman and Diu, one of the Union Territories of India. It is situated on the western coast of India in the Kathiawar Peninsula. Diu Island is famous for its Portuguese cathedral and forts that unveils the past history of this city. The best time to visit Diu is between October and April, when the city experiences mild winters.

St Paul's Church and St Thomas Church-cum-Museum are the two famous cathedrals that are very popular among the tourists. St Paul's Church in Diu is a historical cathedral, which is about 400 years old. Consecrated to the Lady of Immaculate Conception, St Paul's Church was established in 1691. St Thomas Church is another popular cathedral in Diu Island. It is an old church, which has been transformed into a museum that displays a range of woodcarvings.

Among the monuments and forts in Diu Island, Zampa Gateway, Fortim do Mar, Naida Caves and Portuguese Fort deserve special mention. The Portuguese Fort is one of the oldest forts in Diu that unveils the Portuguese era. Tourists willing to explore the museum can visit it between 0700 hours to 1200 hours and 1400 hours to 1700 hours everyday. Fortim do Mar is another magnificent fort in Diu Island, which is known as Fortress of Panikotha. It is situated about a nautical mile from the jetty of the island.

Besides these tourist sites, one can also come across numerous other Diu Island attractions. Some of the famous tourist spots in Diu Island that is very popular among the visitors coming to this part of the world are Church of St Francis of Assissi, Goptimata Beach, Jallandhar Beach, Nagoa Beach and Chakratirtha Beach. The beaches of Diu Island are known for their tranquility and serenity. The tourists can relax with friends and family in these beaches.
