Diu Island Bars

Diu Island Bars offer a host of invigorating drinks and cocktails to the visitors. The Indian Made Foreign Liquor often referred to as the IMFL, and the coconut cocktails are among the most popular alcoholic beverages available at the bars of Diu Island.

While on a tour, the tourists can visit some of the popular bars at Diu Island listed below:

  • Casa Luxo Bar - This bar remains open between 9 A.M and 2 P.M and 4 P.M and 10 P.M from Tuesday to Sunday. This old bar was inaugurated in 1963 and has since then remained one of the most frequented ale houses in Diu.

  • Dubchichk - Situated in Nagoa Beach, this bar remains open between 11 A.M and 3.45 P.M and 6.30 P.M and 10 P.M.

  • Footloose Disco - Situated within Hotel Kohinoor, this disco also serves as a bar offering a plethora of invigorating drinks.

  • Cafe Bela Vista - Situated near the St Thomas' Church, this small outlet also has a number of alcoholic beverages to offer.

The bars in Diu stand as iconic representations of the influence of metropolitan life in the small island. They are a rage among the Gujarati travelers who stop at the local alehouse to quench their thirst with the local cocktail or foreign whiskey and scotch. The inhabitants of Gujarat travel to Diu during the weekends to escape the prohibitory alcohol laws in the state.
