Mathura by Road


The historical city of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh is very well connected to all the major cities in Uttar Pradesh and India. Mathura can be reached either by air, train or by road. Traveling to Mathura by road is an exciting and comfortable journey.
The city is very well linked through a network of State and National Highways. Regular bus service operates from Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur and Delhi.

Huge number of Deluxe Buses and Luxury Coach Air Conditioned Volvo Buses ply from these cities. The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation and other private companies operate a number of buses from the city. Mathura is located 145km southeast of Delhi and it takes nearly three hours to reach there. The city is situated 50km north west of Agra.

Large number of people travels through roads in Mathura since the network of roads is so good. The city has two bus stations: the Old bus stand and the New bus stand. Buses ply to longer destinations like Haridwar, Agra, Vrindavana, and Govardhana from the Old bus stand. While buses even operate to nearby destinations like Govardhana, Mahavana, Nandagram, Baldeo, Radha Kunda, Vrindavana town, and Varsana from this bus stand. From the New bus stand, buses ply for far off destinations like Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Aligarh, Bharatpur etc.
