Nashik City is located in the state of Maharashtra and is popularly called 'the Wine City of India."
Often referred to as the fastest growing city in Maharashtra, Nasik is visited by tourist and travelers throughout the year. The city of Nashik is one of the Indian Cities which have a ghat (series of steps leading down to a water body) of the holy river- the Ganges which results in the large influx of the tourist to the city.

Owing to these factors and some others, the city is visited by the tourists-local and foreign, all through the year. Nashik doesn't have an international airport of its own. The nearest airport to the place is the military owned Ozar Airport.Kingfisher Airlines operate one daily flight from Mumbai to the Ozar Airport which is located 24 kms from the city. To visit Nashik by air one can first book a flight to Mumbai and then change for Nashik from the Ozar Airport.
