There are nearly 12 International airports and domestic airports can be seen in all major cities of India and the capital cities. The country boasts of around 80 domestic airports which connect the vast nation. All the airports are well equipped with high tech equipments and have modernized facilities.

Use of airports

Today millions of people use domestic as well as international airports to travel long and short distance as it is convenient and the fastest mode of transport. Air travel is now preferred by many businessmen and tourists who want to reach their destination quickly and with the best of comfort. Fast travel helps in the growth of economy of the country and gives many benefits to the individuals as well.

Barring the exception of the hard times of recession, the civil aviation industry has seen tremendous response and passengers are travelling via air more often. The private airlines and the Government airlines provide the facilities needed by the passengers. Drastic changes have been seen over the past years and services too are improving vastly. All the domestic flights are interconnected and provide great fares and the charges too are quite affordable due to the competitive market. Many airlines like the Jet Airways, Sahara airlines, Air India and Indian airlines provide domestic flights and international flights to various destinations.
