Secunderabad Club


Secunderabad Club is more than 125 years old and remains open from 0900 hours to 2400 hours. The building of the club was offered to the British as a gift by Salar Jung III. The club is known for its warm environment and mural paintings.

Secunderabad Club was founded in 1878. This building in Secunderabad was gifted to the Britishers by Salar Jung III. In the past, membership of the club was only offered to the British people. The Indians were exempted from joining this club of Secunderabad. However, today the scenario has changed.

Secunderabad Club features marvelous mural paintings and provides an excellent atmosphere. This establishment comprises the sailing annexe and the main club. The sailing annexe is located along Hussain Sagar. The club also provides accommodation, which include suites, double and single rooms, to its members. Secunderabad Club also offers a number of facilities for the convenience of its members. Some of the facilities extended by the club are:

Furthermore, there are a number of stipulations regarding admission in the club. Firstly, rubber slippers and lungis are not allowed within the club premises. Secondly, one cannot carry pets inside the Club. Thirdly, parents must accompany their children in the swimming pool. Fourthly, children upto the age of 16 are not allowed in the Main Lawn after 7.00 pm.
