The functioning of the Presidency School, Adajan is taken care of by the managing committee of the Presidency Education Trust. This educational trust was registered under the Bombay Public Act of the year of 1950.
There are two different mediums of instruction in this school. In one section the students are instructed in the Gujarati language and in the other the medium is English. There are two separate shifts for the two mediums. In the first half, English is the medium of instruction.
Pre- primary and Primary are the two sections of the schools. There are classes from kindergarten to standard eight. School timing for the primary section is from 8:30 in the morning to 12 noon, on all weekdays. Primary section of the school starts functioning at 7 in the morning. On Saturdays the school English medium section of the school remains open from 7 am to 10:30 am.
English, Gujarati, Hindi, General Science, Computer science, Social Studies, General Knowledge and Moral Science are the subjects taught to the students of the Presidency School in Surat. There are times allotted for lessons on drawing and other extra academic subjects as well. In the kindergarten section of the Presidency School of Surat education is imparted through the play way method.
The school also owns a nicely stocked library to encourage the students to read on various subjects. The science laboratories are also well equipped.
The Gujarati session of the school is operated in the afternoon.
