Apart from being a famous tourist destination to the Indians as well as global tourists throughout the year, Haridwar is even famous among people as being the location of the Kumbha Mela, which is held here once in every twelve years. Another major attraction of the place is the Ganga Aarti, which is held every evening at around 7 pm. The lighted diyas floating on the Ganga creates a spectacular sight.
