According to NDTV, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, stated, “First and foremost, I would like to thank all the people of Delhi for voting for us in the MCD. Today, the people of Delhi have also given us the responsibility of Delhi’s civic body. People gave us the responsibility of bettering schools, we did that. They trusted us with bettering hospitals, we did that too. Then they voted for us to get free education and free electricity, and we delivered on that as well. Now they have trusted us with the civic amenities in the city. We will not let them down. I love you too [To the crowd]. My appeal to all party members is that now we must focus on the work. Elections are done and our focus should now be on the work to be done. The politics that needed to be done is now done. No more politics is needed. Now work and dedication for bettering the city is what is needed.”

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister stated, Manish Sisodia said, “Today, the people of Delhi has not just made the Aam Aadmi Party win, but also defeated the corrupt and looting BJP out of power in the MCD after 15 long years. Today, they have ensured that under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, they have voted in an honest Aam Aadmi Party.

According to India TV, BJP Delhi chief Adesh Gupta said, “BJP contested well on issues and exposed lies-corruption of AAP. They had said BJP will get 20 seats and AAP will get 230. It’s a neck-to-neck fight. Polls results could be anything.”
