This American jeans brand, owned by VF Corporation, is popular among the youth for its durable jeans and denim overalls. The brand expanded its operations across 81 countries in the 1960s. VF Corporation acquired H.D. Lee Mercantile Company in 1969. It was during the Vietnam War that Lee became a style icon, especially among the youthful Vietnam War protesters. LEE’s bell bottoms were an instant hit among the protesters.
