Corn or maize is produced and relished all over the world in various forms. In India, maize forms one of the staple diet and it is called bhutta specifically in the north. I have loved bhutta in almost all its forms, whether it is roasted or is in a form of boiled sweet corns. Today I give you another delicious preparation of corn which I call ‘Bhutta Tangri Kebab’. This totally vegetarian dish is very inviting and an awesome innovation. This is a perfect recipe for starters or an evening party. The baby corns are covered with some masala made with boiled potatoes and paneer and shaped to look like a tangri kebab and then deep fried. It results in an amazing irresistible starter dish which is sure to win you many accolades. Use this recipe for making Bhutta Tangri Kebab at home and impress your guests.

Ingredients needed for Bhutta Tangri Kebab

Baby corns – 5-6

Boiled potatoes – 4

Paneer – 150 gm

Zeera powder – 1/2 tsp

Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp

Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp

Garam masala – 1/4 tsp

Bread slice – 2/3

Salt to taste

Oil for frying

How to make Bhutta Tangri Kebab

Grate the paneer, break the bread slices into small pieces and mix with boiled potatoes.

Mix the dry masala and form into rolls.

Insert baby corn into each of the rolls.

Heat oil in a pan.

When the oil is hot, put the rolls and deep fry till golden brown.

Serve immediately with green coriander and mint chutney or tomato ketchup with some cut onions and tomatoes.
