Know about three healthy salad recipes

The method of making salad is quite different in various cities around the world. It is also eaten with great fervour. Salad is considered an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. Apart from this, it is also rich in fibre. Not all salads are healthy and nutritious. The health depends on what ingredients have been selected to add to the salad.  

Adding dressings and toppings in small amounts is good for health, but salad can cause calories and weight gain if added in excess.

Here are the recipes for three healthy salads:

  • Tomato stem side salad

Serves: 4

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Preparation time: 10 minutes


  • Four raw tomatoes 
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp yoghurt
  • Two tablespoons of diced capsicums
  • Two tablespoons of chopped green beans
  • Two tablespoons of corns
  • Two tablespoons cucumbers 
  • Black Pepper 
  • chaat masala
  • tartar (mayonnaise) sauce
  • Cheese spread 


1. Place the tomatoes stem side down and cut them into four or five slices without going to the bottom. Just slice them in the shape of open flowers. 

2. Sprinkle the incisions lightly with salt.

3. Now place the yoghurt in a glass bowl, add the diced capsicum, beans, cucumbers, and corn, and season them with black pepper, chaat masala, mayonnaise sauce, and cheese spread. Mix very well. 

4. Stuff the filling into the slides in the tomatoes by using a sharp and blunt knife. 

5. Garnish with coriander and parsley leaves and arrange the stem side tomatoes on lettuce leaves.

  • Delicious combo salad


  • 1 cup sprouts 
  • 1 cup black sprouted chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup green beans
  • 1/2 cup diced carrots
  • 1/2 cup cucumbers
  • 1/2 cup tomatoes 
  • 1/2 cup sliced apples 
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper
  • Two tablespoons of honey mustard
  • One tablespoon of vinaigrette dressing
  • lettuce leaves


1. Place The sprouts in a glass bowl, add diced beans, carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, and apples, then season them with chaat masala, salt, and pepper.

2. Now add honey mustard with the vinaigrette dressing to make a soft and smooth dressing.

3. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix well. Chill before serving 

4. Before adding the salad to the plate, place a lettuce leaf on a serving platter. That will add a more beautiful look to the salad. 

5. You can garnish some red cherries too. 

  • Sunny honey salad


  • 2 cups boiled macaroni 
  • 1/2 cup green beans
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup corns
  • 1/2 chilli flakes
  • Oregano
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Yoghurt
  • Mayonnaise


1. Pour the boiled macaroni into a glass bowl, then add diced beans, red bell pepper, corns and lettuce leaves. 

2. Sprinkle some chilli flakes, oregano, salt and pepper.

3. Blend some yoghurt and mayonnaise to make a beautiful white delicious salad dressing.

4. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix well. Don’t forget to chill before serving.

5. Place a lettuce leaf on the serving dish. Then pour over the sunny honey salad on it. Again add some oregano over it and serve.
