Ingredients:

  • Mint leaves – ½ cup
  • Coriander leaves – ½ cup,
  • Asafoetida/hing – 2 pinches
  • Roasted cumin powder- ½ tbsp
  • Black peppercorns – 1 tsp
  • Black salt – 1 tsp
  • Dried ginger powder – 1 tsp
  • Dried mango powder/ amchur – 1 tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Juice of two medium-sized lemons
  • Chilled water – 4 cups
  • Boondi – ¼ cup

Take all the ingredients except boondi and blend them well in the mixer until it becomes a smooth puree.

Now take a spoon of it into the jug and add water to it. Stir well.

Serve the Jaljeera in glasses with a garnishing of boondi.
