The long discovered formula of Vidya Balan about making a successful film has today become officially true! As quoted by her “Filmein sirf teen cheezon se chalti hain- Entertainment, Entertainment, Entertainment!”- Today we finally have a film called Entertainment! A Tip’s production, Entertainment is a slapstick-comedy featuring a dog that is way more intelligent than the humans!

Plot: A struggler in life, Akhil Lokhande soon discovers that he is actually the son of a billionaire. But as he steps in to claim his right, he finds out that his father has left all his empire in the name of a dog called Entertainment! And thus starts the tiff between him and the dog, who gives everyone a run for the money!

Performance: Akshay Kumar is in full form till today! Comedy is his forte and he does it with full zest. He is truly impressive on his part.

Tamannaah Bhatia does a fairly decent job this time. A lot of improvement can be seen keeping in mind her performance in Himmatwala and Humshakals.

Mithoon Chakraborty has now become the official father of all these days! In spite of a short role with no content, he is good watch in the film.

Krushna Abhishek is amazing in his role and gives a good support to Akshay!

Sonu Sood and Prakash Raj fail to elicit their charm in a comic role. Perhaps, they are best suited as villains!

Johnny Lever has been sheerly wasted though the little bit he gets, has been done fabulously by him.

And the real hero of the film, a beautiful Golden Retriever, is adorably cute and loveable.

Music: The music of the film is a big asset for the film. Composed by the sensational duo Sachin-Jigar, the album is mind-blowingly worthy! The songs like Johnny Johnny and Veere di Wedding have become huge hits in the crowd.

What’s Good: A light-mindless comedy with a sole intention of making you laugh! The songs are super-amazing and each track makes you step out of the seat. The lesson about how the animals have become more human than the humans themselves hits the right chord.

What’s Bad: Some of the gags come across as highly kiddish and stale. There is no substantial plot in the movie.

More than anybody else, PETA will be the happiest to see the film. Despite its shortcomings, the film actually lives up to its name- its Entertainment, surely! Even though the film does not bring out any intellectual humor, but it does manage to make the audience laugh out loud! Entertainment, is pure entertainment!

Verdict: Leave your brains at home and have a thorough laugh watching Entertainment this weekend!

Rating: ** and a half
