been to INDIA 30 years… have spent tens of thousands traveling to and fro
as a physician and a renowned Photographer.
it is a love and hate affair
i don’t think there is any possibility to fix things with the sheer INDIFFERENCE
i encounter walking the CHAOTIC streets all over the country.
Indians seem oblivious to the incessant noise, difficulty moving, sans rules regulations streetlights, etc…. There are few westerners who could tolerate such conditions. If not for its photographic attraction for a photojournalist I would find it impossible to live there for any extended time. What are the intellectuals doing saying inferring? One rat from the KARNI MATA temple or from the Kolkata sewers could indeed take out 100’s of millions with the Plague. I have seen the poor get poorer and these selfish rich folks who seem to do nothing for the poor justify their ” progress” due to technology….this is a bogus and insensitive conclusion. India is doomed i fear. thanks for your site
