Way back in 2004, Indra Kumar’s Masti paved way for adult-comedies in Bollywood. Since then we have seen a number of adult flicks like “Kya Kool Hain Hum” and “Dhamal” among others which fared poorly on the box-office. The torture of such comedies was not good enough that the directors started inflicting the sequels upon us! And this week it is time to go through grand torture with Indra Kumar’s Grand Masti! A sequel to its predecessor, Grand Masti is a reprehensible adult flick replete with pesty humour that objectifies women.
Plot: Three married friends, frustrated of their married lives set out to have some fun in their college reunion but eventually get caught in some icky circumstances.
Performances: There is little to be spoken about how the trio performs in a cheap comedy. Apart from looking much older, the trio this time goes horrendously cheap. No words to describe their obscenity.
The six women are definitely in desperate search of work! This could be the only reason that made them agree to such an offensive film. Bruna, Maryam and Kainaat look extremely gross.
Music: The music album of Grand Masti has just three songs in store. While the prequel Masti had some meaningful and melodious number, Grand Masti has nothing worth listening to. The lyrics have double-meaning and cause pain to the ears.
What’s good: Needless to say, Nothing!
What’s bad: Everything! From Direction, performances, an invisible storyline to cheap humour, disgusting dialogues and vulgar clothes.
Grand Masti is a grand trash of mindless and offensive humour. It objectifies women blatantly and establishes male chauvinist notions. The director this time has gone beyond the limit of stooping low. The adult scenes and lewd dialogues are extremely insulting and distressing. There seems to be no reason why such kind of movies are even made or passed by the censor board.
Verdict: Save yourself from the unbearable embarrassment of watching Grand Masti! The cheapness of the movie can even drag you to vomiting! Don’t even think of going for this one!
