Rahul Gandhi was appointed the president of the Indian National Congress in 2017. And, what a year it has been- not just for Gandhi himself, but for the rest of us who have witnessed his journey. While still facing the usual “Italian prince” mockery here and there, he has come a long way, along with the party.
From being ousted brutally in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the INC has made a comeback this year, with key states like Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan now under its rule. However, it hasn’t been a smooth flowing river altogether. The state of Mizoram, Congress’s last stronghold in the North-East is now under MNF, after the former ruling it for a decade.
