  • Surat: Surat is the epicenter of the textile industry in Gujarat. Surat is famous among the cities of Gujarat for its quality diamond cutting centers.

    • Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad is one of the largest cities of Gujarat. Ahmedabad is situated on the banks of the Sabarmati river. The architecture of the city is one of the finest examples of the syncretic nature of Indian religious practices.

      Ahmedabad is famous for its handicrafts like Bandhani or tie work.

    • Bharuch: Bharuch is a large seaport. It is the administrative center of Bharuch district. It is one of the cities of Gujarat that finds mention in historical texts. Bharuch was a transit point in the fabled spice and silk trade in ancient times.

    • Bhuj: Bhuj is a city in Kacchh district in Gujarat. A major earthquake shook Bhuj in 2001.
