Dieser Bezirk steht an dem südlichen Gipfel von Dekkan Plateau und ist von Dichterwäldern, verwirrten Dschungeln und tiefen Tälern bedeckt. Die wichtigen Urlaubsziele sind Pookot See, Chembra Gipfel, Kuruva Insel, Edakkal Höhle, Muthanga Wildschutzgebiet, Sentinel Fels Wasserfälle und Thirunelly Tempel.
